The hydrostripper uses an ultra-high pressure pump pressurizes the rotating spray bar within the cleaning head and delivers water to the spray bar within the cleaning head assembly. The gantry system moves the cleaning head as it blasts away the reflective sheeting from road signs for reuse.

The auxiliary hydraulic system powers the movement and rotation of the cleaning head assembly of the hydrostripper. Motion and rotation speed is controlled by the operator.

The operator starts the process by selecting a program from the control panel or Operator Interface Unit (OIU) on the hydrostripper. The OIU stores multiple programs for cleaning signs of various shapes and sizes. Easy program changes allow smooth transition from one blank size to another. In addition, machine operators can quickly add new programs for unique sign shapes with the joystick control.  The signs are then placed on the work surface of the hydrostripper and the gantry system is activated.

The hydrostripper has an integrated vacuum collection hood and cleaning assembly draws the sheeting particles into a container and the excess water is filtered and recycled for additional use. Analysis of the solids allows for environmentally safe, non-hazardous disposal.
